Thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay at Burn Cottage, it’s out of way in a lovely village with beautiful walks. Good location as not far to travel to different places like York or Whitby. Cottage is cosy, clean and a home away from home. Super dog friendly (puppy friendly for us!). Would 100% come back again!

Lovely cottage- parking is ok, getting out was more difficult we parked at the local pub just down the road (minute walk) most of the time, nice hot tub, lovely surroundings only downside was no buses go through this area any more where as google on-line it said there was a few after chatting to the bar staff of local pub they told us those days have gone with the bus once in a blue moon so we had to drive mostly to get to any shops, stations etc lovely place though very peaceful enjoyed our stay would happily go back there

Location was beautiful. The cottage was decorated to a very good standard and furnished to compliment its character. It was provided with everything needed and had every plate and cooking essentials you could dream of having in your own kitchen, fabulous! The cottage does have a hot tub but we were too busy exploring beautiful Nth Yorkshire so did not have time to use it. Communication was excellent in the form of pre arrival details and instructions and lots of literature on what to do, including if we had a problem. Customer service was excellent, my wife was celebrating a big birthday while we were there and I contacted asking for flowers to be at the cottage, this was done and they were beautiful. After leaving an item behind, a quick call and it was dispatched safely and arrived in a matter of days. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the cottage and Kilburn and cannot wait to book another stay through your company. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely, peaceful cottage in a beautiful little village. Check in was very easy. Perfect for me, my partner and our dog, with a secure section to the back where the hot tub is so the dog was safe. Really good sized bedroom and living area with a well equipped kitchen. Other reviews have mentioned issues with the drive up to the cottage being steep and you need to reverse back down in your car. We didn’t think it was that steep and also turning around for me outside the cottage was fine (and i have a large SUV), maybe a 6 point turn haha but no issues at all! Parking was perfect, right outside the front door. Locals very friendly and happy to recommend local areas to visit. 1 local pub a short walk from the cottage and lots of lovely villages not too far of a drive away. What we loved was how relaxed we were and how quiet it was, absolute bliss! We would definitely stay again 😊

The cottage is in a lovely little village in a beautiful part of the country. It was a great base for visiting lots of places (Helmsley, Reivaulx, Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall, Mount Grace Priory & the James Herriot museum in Thirsk). There are lots of decent 'gastro pubs' in neighbouring villages too. Whilst the pub in Kilburn was a nice pub, the food was a bit disappointing. The cottage was well equipped & comfortable. The lane leading to the cottage is tight, but it is actually possible to turn the car round outside the cottage. The bathroom was very good, with an excellent shower. The bedroom was a great size with a nice big bed. All in all, this was a good place to stay at a vey reasonable price.

Absolutely loved our stay, the cottage and area itself was a stunning place. the cottage theme and internals matched the scenery and then very well. if you are after a lovely area and a place to stay to match the surrounding then I would recommend this place. the cottage had everything we needed and had the choice of relaxing in the accommodation and hotel or venture around the lovely surroundings. if you love the outdoors and going for walks and enjoying the scenery then this place has plenty to explore. with a bigger town not to far away which can fill all the gaps that the village does not have.

We have to say it was the “homeliest” cottage we have ever stayed in and could quite happily have stayed for much longer. Cosy but bright and tastefully furnished. The bedroom in particular was beautiful and the views from both windows were gorgeous. Nice touch with the “mouseman” mantelpiece. We loved listening to the birdsong in the mornings and the church bells which may seem simple but are missed when you live away from the UK. All in all 10/10 for a beautiful stay.

The cottage is well equipped and very tastefully furnished. It offers a really pleasant and cosy atmosphere. Our two little dogs loved their downstairs territory and the quiet street they could safely run up and down.
