This practical, comfortable, well-appointed ground floor apartment is the perfect base for couples or small families to explore the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Parks. Sleeping up to 4 guests across 2 bedrooms with a relaxing lounge and well-equipped kitchen.

Immerse yourself in culture as you roam around the city of Ripon, home to the imposing Cathedral, where you will find the ancient Saxon crypt, the Prison & Police Museum, three Yorkshire Law & Order Museums along with Ripon Racecourse, known within the horse racing world as The Yorkshire Garden Race Course. In fact, The Chapter House Apartment is ideal for Race Goers wishing for a place to stay whilst attending a race meeting at Ripon.

Chapter House Apartment offers everything required to explore the hidden gems of North Yorkshire and comes complete with free parking for one vehicle.

THE SPACE

Entering through the front door into a spacious hall you immediately feel at home in this warm and welcoming apartment. With a lovely flow from the hallway and a restful colour palette bringing a relaxed vibe.

The lounge offers comfy seating around a smart TV, a restful space to relax, to gather and kick back at the end of a day spent exploring the wonderful countryside and all that North Yorkshire and surrounding areas have to offer. Within the lounge there is a small but perfectly formed dining area to enjoy that all important Yorkshire Breakfast and to plan your day ahead!

The kitchen leads from the lounge and has everything needed to create your hearty breakfasts and tasty suppers. There is a useful oven, grill and hob, fridge/freezer, and microwave and all the utensils and crockery any chef would require!

This first of two bedrooms leads from the entrance hallway, all positioned on the ground floor. This cosy king room continues the restful palette, perfect for retreating to at the end of day spent exploring. The second bedroom laid out with small bunk bed formation, is ideal for children or can be utilised for a further 2 adult guests.

The bathroom is ideally located between the two bedrooms and offers a shower over bath. The bathtub is perfect and often just what is needed for soaking any aching muscles, after a ramble across the North Yorkshire Dales!

Chapter House Apartment has a lovely, enclosed garden positioned to the front of the property, with two recycling chairs and cushions available for guest use. Although not private in that it is at the front, it is the perfect place to enjoy the quiet and enchanting surroundings with a cuppa of Yorkshire Tea or Glass of wine on a summers evening, listening to chimes of the Cathedral bells!

There is clearly marked off road parking for one vehicle within the cul-de-sac.

THE LOCAL AREA

Immerse yourself in culture as you roam around the beautiful and historical Cathedral City of Ripon. Home to the stunning and imposing Cathedral where you’ll find the ancient Saxon crypt. There are many museums to explore and of cause the Apartment is ideal for racegoers, wishing to place a bet or two at the beautiful Ripon Racecourse!

Enjoy walks along the River Skell direct from the apartment front door, one direction takes you past the historic cathedral, the other into the Hell Wath Nature reserve. Or you may just wish to wander the 400 yards into Ripon Town Centre to take in the many local shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. On a fine evening, meander up to the town square to hear the Hornblower blow his horn at 9pm to declare that all is well – a tradition that goes back over a thousand years!

For the more ambitious walkers, head up to the historic Fountains Abbey, which is one of the largest and best-preserved ruined Cistercian monasteries in England.

For families who wish to stay, venture out for a family fun-filled day at Light Water Valley Theme Park, with a thrilling choice of rollercoasters, or spend a day at Ripon’s Garden Racecourse.  Studley Royal is also a great day out, particularly in winter where you can admire the reindeer and if your lucky Rudolph will make an appearance!

Newby Hall & Gardens is also worth pencilling into your itinerary, boasting over 25 acres of sensational gardens, featuring unique flora and plants, or take a scenic drive over to the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Chapter House Apartment is central to both the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Parks, both offering a wealth of picturesque walking trails, challenging cycling routes, high peaks, and charming villages dotted throughout, whilst the lively towns of York and Harrogate rests just slightly further afield – but well worth a visit!
