A lovely cottage, with everything we needed. Clean, cosy and well equipped. A beautiful part of the country, well worth a visit!

The cottage was very well thought out, nicely and sympathetically designed and decorated inside and out, the beds were comfortable (a very important thing). There are steps in and out. The best thing was a pub doing food a minutes walk away on the same side and a very nice café about the same distance on the other side. The locals were also very friendly. Win win! 5 stars.

We can thoroughly recommend Moorside Cottage. It is a beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped cottage, in a lovely setting. We only had a weekend stay but would definitely stay longer if we are back in the area. We arrived on a busy weekend when the village hosted a major cycle race, but had no problem parking on the road outside the cottage. The little welcome hamper was a lovely surprise! Thank you!

Excellent! “We had a wonderful week at Moorside Cottage with our 11-year old grandson. It was the perfect place to be in the lovely village of Ampleforth with its excellent pub (The White Horse) and cafe (Hearts of Ampleforth), both literally a few steps from the cottage and well away from the crowds closer to the coast. Moorside Cottage is comfortable, charming and well equipped to a high standard. It has everything you need and more (just know it doesn't stock more than salt, pepper, oil, sugar, tea and coffee so come prepared if you plan on cooking). The back garden was perfect in the wonderful weather to sit and relax after exploring North Yorkshire. We have stayed in many fabulous holiday rentals but rate Moorside Cottage as one of the best. The ease of communication with the property managers, the seamless ingress and egress, the high standard of the cottage itself all made for a very positive experience. 5 Stars!”
