a lovely piece of heaven in Pickering. Everything was perfect. the only negative I would say is the TV could do with being on a better surface when young children visit.

what a beautiful stay we had, 5 star and would definitely recommend this property. Excellent location very near to the town.

Stayed for a couple of nights over a weekend with friends. Cottage is so cosy and feels like a home from home as has absolutely everything you need. We didn't cook much but kitchen is really well equipped. Beds are so comfy, and bathroom is huge. We managed to park two cars outside on the street both nights but carpark along with supermarket is literally a 5 minute walk. The pubs in town were friendly and welcoming and they had some great live music which was a bonus. would definitely recommend the Cottage and the location. We had a great stay.

Lovely cottage in the centre of Pickering, around 5 minutes from the heritage railway if that’s why you’re there. Plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants or 30 mins from Whitby. Street parking was problematic at times, buts there’s a 24 hour car park 5 mins away if needed.

This is an absolutely wonderful place – perfect location for all of the great things in Pickering (esp the steam train and Beck Isle Museum), and everything very charming inside, also nice and spacious over three floors. Thank you!

The cottage is perfect for a self catered stay in north Yorkshire for all the family, including the dog. We had everything we needed for a comfortable "home from home". The location is fantastic for exploring local attractions as well as for eating and drinking out. For rainy days or nights in, the cottage is cosy and well equipped with books, games and even baking equipment. The welcome pack, information folder, and thoughtful touches to decor and extra provisions (like towels, cooking oil, herbs etc) are all signs that this host goes the extra mile to make your stay extra extra special.

The location was perfect for walking. Lovely area with lots of pubs locally and access to the castle, steam train and museum. The property was beautifully furnished and had everything we could possibly want facility wise.

We had a lovely stay at Nine PotterHill the cottage is very nicely presented with lots of little touches making it feel very homely. It was extremely well equipped and we wanted for nothing. It's well situated a short walk from the town centre and its many amenities and attractions such as the North York Steam Railway, Pickering Castle and Beck Isle museum. The chip shop further down PotterHill we can also highly recommend!! We were able to easily park in front of the property and this being free was a real bonus. We would love to revisit in the future.

We really enjoyed Nine PotterHill, everything had been well thought of, the property was well decorated and beds were comfortable. We had a wedding in the local area but also thought that Pickering was a lovely town.

This property is beautifully done inside - three big bedrooms and a gorgeous bathroom. the kitchen has everything you need - the people who own the property clearly put a lot of thought into what people need when they stay in a holiday cottage. It is also dog friendly!

A fantastic place to stay if you are wanting to be close to Pickering. Very well furnished with high end fittings. A cosy log fire, a starter pack included but if it's cold outside, remember to take some additional logs or just buy at one of the local shops, cheaper than Coop or Lidl. A welcome pack which also included treats for my dog. A 2 min walk to the centre and for the North Yorkshire Railway, perfect for the Santa Train.

This house is in the perfect location for Pickering town centre and the railway. Just two minute walk away. The supermarkets are also a short walk. The house is just as the photos show it and everything is considered. The welcome pack of food and orange juice - dog treats too. The fish an chip shop on the same street produces fabulous food - and there are take away menus etc provided if you don’t want to cook. (The kitchen is gorgeous though, and has everything you need.) There are dvds and games and books should you want them. We managed to park outside the property without any trouble. Great bolt hole for those after a central location.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful few days away in Pickering. This is the nicest holiday home I’ve ever stayed in! There were 6 of us, including a 3 and 4 year old, and the cottage had everything we could possibly need. You could just pack your clothes because there is literally everything else there. It is absolutely beautifully decorated throughout - it’s obvious how much thought has gone into everything. I’ll be stealing ideas for my own house! Matt and Lisa left a lovely welcome basket for us which was so nice to see when we walked in. In the twin room where our children slept, there was a basket of kids’ books, which I thought was a really thoughtful touch. The house was beautifully fragranced too - the diffusers all smell amazing and I’m going to buy some! The bathroom is incredible - best shower and bath I’ve had in ages! Matt and Lisa have helpfully provided lots of details of things to do and see in Pickering, and takeaway menus for local restaurants. Just Perfect!!!

The cottage was perfect, surpassed our expectations and we wished we’d booked for longer. The location is great, the cottage itself is full of character yet furnished to a high standard and felt fresh and modern. The attention to detail was fantastic, we had everything we needed and more. It was comfortable, homely and was generally just a nice place to spend a couple of days/nights.

Very nicely furnished and lovely cosy spot. We were staying over to go to a friend's wedding so didn't get to spend much time in the cottage, but it was very well provisioned and the owners left a little care package of bread, cookies and crisps which were really appreciated. Rooms clean and beds comfy

We stayed here while we were working in the area. Luckily I had chance to wander into town, which the house is in such a great location for. The house is so well equipped with all the homely touches. Nine Potter Hill is a beautifully decorated house, exceptionally clean with lovely little extras that made our stay that little bit more special. The little bag of doggy treats and the welcome box were especially thoughtful. The house is in a good position to walk into Pickering or to the NYM railway and is well placed to explore further afield by car. We visited Robin Hood’s Bay, Whitby, Goathland and Thornton Le-Dale as well as venturing into the city of York. We would definitely recommend.

Lisa and Matt are the perfect hosts from communication, to all the little touches that make your stay really feel like you’re at home, the info on surrounding areas and the very comfy beds. Such a great base to explore the surrounding area. We will definitely be back x
