West End is a beautifully appointed Georgian townhouse situated in the heart of Kirkbymoorside, a charming market town within the North York Moors National Park. Accommodating up to ten guests across five generously sized bedrooms, this exquisite property boasts an exceptional location, mere steps away from the town’s vibrant market square.
Elegantly furnished throughout, West End features a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, a separate lounge, and two well-appointed bathrooms. This versatile accommodation is perfect for families or larger groups eager to discover the hidden treasures of North Yorkshire.
Outside, guests can enjoy a delightful terrace area, and we are pleased to welcome dogs to join in the experience.

THE SPACE
As you enter the hallway at West End, you are greeted by a glimpse of the exquisite interiors that await. The sitting room exudes elegance, bathed in natural light from the bay window, with stylish sofas arranged around a period fireplace, with open fire creating a warm and inviting space to reflect on the day’s experiences.
The kitchen and dining area is a culinary enthusiast’s paradise, equipped with a range oven and all the essentials for preparing hearty breakfasts and delightful dinners. Spread the morning papers across the dining table, brew a fresh pot of coffee, and open the French doors to the rear courtyard, inviting the sunlight to fill the room.
Additionally, a convenient utility area featuring a washing machine and a downstairs WC is situated on the ground floor.
On the first floor, you will discover two of the five elegantly designed bedrooms: one featuring a king-sized bed and the other furnished with twin single beds. Both rooms are equipped with the softest pillows and duvets, alongside ample storage space. Additionally, a well-appointed bathroom on this floor includes a bath, toilet, and wash basin.
Ascending the second flight of stairs, you will find three more inviting bedrooms—two with king-sized beds and one with a double bed. Consistent with the first two bedrooms, these spaces are thoughtfully arranged to ensure comfort and tranquillity, providing an ideal environment for a restful night’s sleep. This floor also includes another bathroom, featuring a spacious walk-in shower, basin, and toilet.
From the French doors in the dining room, you can access a private courtyard, perfect for enjoying an evening drink or that essential morning coffee.
Parking is conveniently available on the street within Kirkbymoorside, and we warmly welcome your dogs to join you during your stay.
THE LOCAL AREA
With a rich and captivating history, Kirkbymoorside is noted in the Domesday Book and has held a Royal Charter for market since 1254, featuring several charming 13th-century buildings in its town centre. The town is home to delightful independent shops where shopkeepers take the time to remember your name and engage in conversation, as well as welcoming pubs and cafes.
Kirkbymoorside resonates with music, proudly hosting the award-winning Kirkbymoorside Town Brass Band for over 200 years. Each year, the town comes alive during the first weekend in August with the annual Kirkbymoorside Gateway to the Moors Music Festival, celebrating its rich musical heritage.
The property lies a short drive from Eden Camp, Dalby Forest and Flamingo Land. Helmsley (a beautiful market town) is a 10-minute drive from the town, where you can join the Cleveland Way walking trail, visit Helmsley Castle and the beautiful Walled Garden, or enjoy mooching around the lovely local shops.
Situated just 25 miles north of the City of York you are also perfectly placed to head into the City to experience the culture of the Minster, museums, galleries and the ancient City walls. Or if your passion is food, you’ll find many excellent independent bars and restaurants to discover. The City of York is brimming with history and culture. Take a walk along the castle walls or head to York Minster for some truly jaw dropping architecture, followed by a wander around the cobbled streets with beautiful architecture to admire and independent boutiques to peruse.
Sutton Bank is only a short drive away and perfect for mountain biking, walk to the famous of the White Horse or to watch the Gliders taking off. Idyllic Hovingham, holds an excellent monthly food market along with local weekly markets held at many towns to include Pickering, Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside and Thirsk (famous for James Herriot). The beautiful market town of Malton holds a monthly food market and is known for being the food capital of the North, lying just a 20-minute drive from the cottage.
